  • Barrister and Solicitor

I completed my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) at the University of Guelph in 1972, and my Master of Arts at the University of Alberta in 1977. I entered law school, Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario, in 1979 and took third year at the University of Calgary. Following graduation in 1982, I articled with a firm in Lethbridge, Alberta and was called to the Bar in June 1983. I practiced law in Lethbridge for a few years, then joined the Law Department at the City of Calgary where I practiced for almost 10 years. Subsequently, I returned to private practice in Calgary and central Alberta.

I joined Athabasca University in the spring of 1988, where I enjoy tutoring students in a number of the legal studies courses. I have taught legal studies courses at the University of Lethbridge in Calgary, Grant MacEwan College, Mount Royal College, Columbia College, and have taught courses and assessed students for the Bar Admission program.
